Death & Taxes…4/18…

4/18 update…Death and Taxes…

Greetings from Newport Kentucky. We kicked off the Dave Hause, Mikey Erg, Ian Graham tour on Friday night with a bang in Pittsburgh, what a great response. 2 intimate shows in the Ohio area (Columbus and last night in Newport, Kentucky, Cincinatti’s neighbor) and today is a day off before 14 shows straight. We’re having a blast, so much so that Mikey Erg got arrested last night and thrown in the drunk tank. I love that guy. Come on out and hang, click here for tourdates.

Big week of announcements this past week, the first of which was the fine folks at Filter Magazine premiering my new video for “Time Will Tell”. My old friend Jason Shevchuk shot this video with me in a few hours back in October and it turned out exactly as I had hoped. My concept was to pay homage to Martin Scorsese’s student film, “The Big Shave” that he made in the 60’s to protest the Vietnam War.
The response to the video was really positive, except from my youngest sister Sarah, who claimed it was too dark and that she hated seeing me covered in blood. I’ll have to let her know the blood wasn’t real, I suppose.  I uploaded it to the video section of the site so you can see it there or subscribe to my Youtube channel if you’re into that kind of thing.

I wasn’t sure when or if I’d get to the midwest on this record, so I’m very excited to say I added 3 shows with Tommy Stinson (ex Replacements, bass player for Guns & Roses) in the midwest leading up to Krazyfest.  May 19 in Milwaukee, 20th in Minneapolis, and 21st in Chicago.  tourdates.

I get to spend a ton of time this year with my old friend Chuck Ragan, and after a one off show in West Chester PA in May we’re heading up to eastern Canada, which has become one of my favorite places to tour over the years. Go to the tour page for details…

The official word came down about the fall tour I’m doing with my dear friends Brian Fallon, Chuck Ragan, and Dan Andriano in the UK and Europe, “The Revival Tour”. I can’t wait to do this run, it begins in the UK on September 27th, heads into Europe for over a week and then concludes in the UK on October 17th. You can check out the official website for the tour here.

Bababooey to y’all.
